Tutorial number dos.

Tutorial 2
Causes of motor vehicle accidents

Thesis statement:
Accidents. Does it sound really familiar? Yes it does, because it happened every single day. Every day, countless lives have been lost in accidents involving motor vehicles. It seemed like a normal thing that these accidents happen. But does anyone really know why motor vehicle accidents happen? Many can argue how these accidents came about but the need for overcoming these causes is a must to prevent any more lost lives.

Topic statement:
1.       The first cause of motor vehicle accidents is the carelessness of the drivers.
2.       Secondly, the weather is really a big factor of why these accidents had happened.
3.       Last but not least, the condition of the car can really affect how the driving will be good or it can go awry.

First Tutorial - Article Review Exercise

Hello~ So, for our first tutorial class, Miss Yoon asked us to prepare an article review just to prepare us completely for our first assignment. So, here I am, trying to type what's really in my opinion, about what the article Miss Yoon gave us. So, here I go!

An Article Review - Integrating Social Networking Tools into ESL Writing Classroom : Strengths and Weaknesses by Melor Md Yunus, Hadi Salehi & Chen Chenzi

The world is evolving rapidly and the SNS, stands for Social Networking Services can really bring a change in the perspective of teaching writing in ESL classrooms. Most of these SNS have their advantages when used to teaching writing but with all the good things in the world, the negative effects will also come about. Using SNS in ESL writing classroom can evoke the creative part of these students through the usage of Facebook, Twitter and many more. These can motivate them to take part in these classes because they are really familiar with Facebook and Twitter and such. That maybe reduce the stress thus increasing their creative thinking skills and finally improving their writing. But teachers fear that the usage of SNS in classes may cause negative effects like time wasting and less attention towards the lessons in classes. Ultimately, teachers also fear that SNS will be used negatively.

In my opinion, SNS can be effective in teaching students how to improve writing skills. There can still be negative results that come up from using SNS in ESL writing classrooms. But by limiting of what they can do when using Facebook or Twitter in class, students may not stray from the lesson too much. After all, maybe integrating SNS into ESL writing classroom can be a blessing in disguise. We just have to go through all the bad stuffs to get into the little piece of heaven.

Hahaha, my review's gonna be weird. Hopefully, Miss Yoon can accept this. :D

Hi me!

Hi you, yes you, not you the reader, the creator. Yessss, youuuu. I'm you, yes, I'm you from 4 years back. So how are you? How are you? It's been a while. Have you got married? Hahaha, :P

So anyways, are you doing well? TESL is tough right? I mean, really, really, REALLY TOUGH right? Ughhh, I almost puked when I started learning. But then, I really enjoyed it. So I hope you do too, because in 4 years time, you will see this as an experience so that you can reflect on what you've been doing in these four years. Me and you will go through a lot of hardship but I'm sure we can manage it. After all, we are what we are, humans that can adapt to anything that's been thrown at us. *Unless it's stones and rocks, and maybe something heavy, and maybe knives, forks, swords and such, =,=''* Haha.

It's gonna be crazy this first semester with all the classes and the tutorials, the exams and all the little itsy bitsy stuff that we have to do. Man, I do hope you can manage this semester, because if you don't, then I'm screwed, totally totally screwed. Hahaha, chill, take that as an encouragement for you, for us to do well in the finals. Maybe we'll fail, maybe we'll get high, if not flying marks but we are still together. You and me, as one. :)

So in four years time, I want you to read back this post and write a new one about what did you experience here at Universiti Malaysia Sabah. I can't wait to read back. May Allah bless you *that means me too :P*
Peace out, see you in 4 years time. :)
